I hope my top ten list of the best Christian books encourages you!
I hope these books are an encouragement to you in your motherhood journey. Many of them have been transformational for me in my walk with the Lord and in my everyday life as a mom.
Remember that these recommended books are supplemental. The truest form of encouragement will be found in the Word. I often read Titus 2:3-5 when I need a reminder of what Christ has called me to.
Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
Titus 2:3-5
Sometimes I can get so caught up in reading what others have to say, that I forget the most important voice for me to be listening to is the voice of the Lord. When I am having a strong prayer life, I can tell a huge difference in how I am parenting.
Remember that the Lord is your strength even when you are at your weakest.
You are right where you need to be
The last thing I want to remind you of is that God has specifically chosen YOU to be your child’s mom. He knew you were the one they needed. You’re doing an amazing job, and the love and intentionality you are putting into your parenting is making a difference.

I ordered and just received the book Praying the Scriptures for Your Children. I have not started reading it yet.
Since you have read it …is it also applicable when praying for adult children? I have a heavy burden to pray for our 2 adult children.
jennyandkevinpitts says
Hey Jen! I think it could definitely apply, but she does have other books that are specifically for praying over your teens and praying over your adult children
